The owners of the Pepperoncini restaurants in Conshohocken and Phoenixville have opened an Italian market and catering base in Havertown (101 W. Eagle Rd., Havertown, 484-454-5995).
It sells deli foods and groceries, as well as Italian specialties, pizza, sandwiches, family style and meals-to-go. There's a 55-gallon drum of EVOO filling bottles.
At the grand opening is Oct. 27, Paul DiBona, Tom DeFruscio and Dan Duffy will give away meatballs. Hours are 10 to 7 Tuesday to Thursday, 10 to 8 on Friday and Saturday, and 10 to 3 on Sunday.
