Honeygrow growing, plus other restaurant news

The quick serve is going to Bala Cynwyd.

Honeygrow, the salad/smoothie/stir-fry shop that's going great guns at 1601 Sansom St., signed a lease at Bala Cynwyd Shopping Center. Expected to open by the end of the year.

The stars of TLC's DC Cupcakes – sisters Katherine Kallinis and Sophie LaMontagne – will appear at Parx Casino in Bensalem at 7 p.m. Friday, July 20. They'll do a demo, followed by a meet-and-greet at 9 p.m.

Blue Belly BBQ - the joint from Cochon's Gene and Amy Giuffi at Sixth and Catharine Streets - will soft-open on July 26. Full menu will debut Aug. 1.

Yet another Andy's Diner is on the way: the former Old Country Buffet at 3100 W. Cheltenham Ave. on the Mount Airy/Wyncote line, due to open in a couple of weeks. Owner Andy Kamaratos is also turning the former Drafting Room in Spring House into an Andy's; that is due to open in September.

Again, Citizens Bank Park has been named top vegetarian-friendly ballpark by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. This is the fifth winning season out of six. The Wilmington Blue Rocks' Daniel S. Frawley Stadium came in fourth among the minor-league parks. Info here.
