The stars of TLC’s DC Cupcakes – sisters Katherine Kallinis and Sophie LaMontagne – will appear at Parx Casino in Bensalem at 7 p.m. Friday, July 20. They'll do a demo, followed by a meet-and-greet at 9 p.m.
Blue Belly BBQ - the joint from Cochon's Gene and Amy Giuffi at Sixth and Catharine Streets - will soft-open on July 26. Full menu will debut Aug. 1.
Yet another Andy's Diner is on the way: the former Old Country Buffet at 3100 W. Cheltenham Ave. on the Mount Airy/Wyncote line, due to open in a couple of weeks. Owner Andy Kamaratos is also turning the former Drafting Room in Spring House into an Andy's; that is due to open in September.
