Opening today in downtown Wayne:

PBandU, a shop devoted to one ingredient: peanut butter.

Simple menu of sandwiches (sliders, too), fondue, and pizza is served from the counter in a bright, concrete-floored, kid-friendly atmosphere. Peanut butter is ground in-house.

It's open till 1 a.m. most nights in a bid for the college crowd -- viz the "college pack" of four PBJs or peanut butter-and-Fluff sammies on regulation Wonder Bread for $10.

Opening special has sandwiches priced at a buck.
