Food & Wine looking for best new chef

It's up for public vote.

Seven Philly chefs are among the 10 nominees for people's best chef in the Mid-Atlantic region in Food & Wine's voting, which went live this morning.

Erik Bruner-Yang of D.C.'s Yoki Underground

Jason Cichonski of Queen Village's Ela

Christopher Kearse of East Passyunk's Will BYOB

Joshua Lawler of Washington Square West's The Farm & Fisherman

Cedric Maupillier of D.C.'s Mintwood Place

Kevin Sbraga of Avenue of the Arts' Sbraga

Sylva Senat of Avenue of the Arts' Tashan

Kevin Sousa of Pittsburgh's Salt of the Earth

Lee Styer of East Passyunk's Fond

Greg Vernick of Rittenhouse's Vernick Food & Drink

The poll is open here.

(This is not to be the confused with the James Beard Awards for best chef in the Mid-Atlantic, whose roster of finalists will be announced March 18. Maupillier, Senat and Styer are among the semifinalists.)
