Elaine Soncini back on the radio

She'll be partnered with Mike Bowe on 1340WHAT.

Elaine Soncini, who enjoyed a 20-year career on the old WPEN before she retired to Florida in 2000, is coming back.

She'll be piped in to sidekick with morning man Mike Bowe on 1340WHAT, starting Feb. 1.

Soncini does voiceover work with her husband, Larry Leaf.

Soncini's name came up in one of the area's most sensational murder cases. She was identified as the woman with whom Cherry Hill Rabbi Fred Neulander was having an affair when prosecutors alleged that he hired a man to kill his wife, Carol. Soncini, who met the rabbi when he officiated at the 1992 funeral of her husband, Ken Garland, testified for the prosecution at both of the rabbi's trials, in 2001 and 2002.

The station said Soncini will make frequent visits to the area for special events.
