Corned beef challenge; more cookies

A chef says his brisket is the best; Crazy Susan's opening in Voorhees.

Dubh Linn Square Pub is sandwiched, as it were, between two Jewish delis (Kibitz Room and Short Hills Deli) at 482 Evesham Rd. in Cherry Hill. Chef Jason Feehan is making the bold declaration that he serves the best corned beef - so good, he says, that if you say it's not the best you've had, the restaurant will comp your sandwich or entree. The Jersey Shore-rooted Crazy Susan's Cookie Co., as seen on the Food Network summer series Tough Cookies, is opening a shop on Dec. 9 at 1224 Berlin Rd. in Voorhees. Susan Adair of West Berlin opened her first store in Ocean City in 2006.

Speaking of the Shore: Ocean City's Pure Tacos is opening a Center City branch this winter at 1935 Chestnut St., says the fine blog GlutenFreePhilly.

Chef Frederic Morin of the Montreal landmark Joe Beef is doing a one-night-only appearance at Osteria (640 N. Broad St.) on Dec. 7 to cook from the restaurant's new cookbook, The Art of Living According to Joe Beef: A Cookbook of Sorts. Osteria owner Marc Vetri will go to Montreal in January to cook from his book, Rustic Italian Food, at Joe Beef.) Morin's fixed-price menu is $150, which includes tax, tip and a copy of the book.
