Changes coming to Forest & Main brewpub

New chef will change to a pub-style menu and a new director of operations will oversee the creation of a tasting room at the Ambler brewpub.

With a new director of operations and chef, Ambler brewpub Forest & Main is rolling out a few changes.

Under chef Kelly Fischer, who starts next week, the dinner menu will be expanded and streamlined to be more pub-friendly, with dishes including house-made flatbreads, chicken sausage sandwich topped with beer mustard, tamarind-glazed tofu bahn mi, build-your-own grilled cheese; mussels and fries; and fish and chips. Weekend brunch also is on its way this summer.

Forest & Main also is stepping up production to allow its product to be distributed in more bars. Right now, it's on tap at Taproom on 19th and at Petruce et al. They plan to add Dawson Street Pub in Manayunk and Baggataway Tavern in Conshohocken shortly.
