Cannstatter in Northeast Phila. opening a beer garden
Opening day is June 10.
Cannstatter Volksfest-Verein, the German social club on Academy Road near I-95 in Torresdale, is getting into the beer garden game this summer.
It's opening its 5-acre park - the site of innumerable Oktoberfests - to the public starting June 10.
It will be open 4 to 10 p.m. Fridays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays, weather permitting, through early fall.
Craft and German beers, burgers, bratwurst, and basic bar food will be on the menu.
