Citing "not enough business," Alison Barshak has pulled the plug on Alison two, her Fort Washington restaurant.

Last night was March 13.

The move comes four months after Barshak's corporation filed for bankruptcy protection and closed her smaller restaurant, Alison at Blue Bell.

Barshak says she is not sure of her next step.

Funny what no chef, terrible management and having an absent owner married to someone in Atlanta can do to a restaurant.

Couln't possibly be her fault - why show up and actually run the business after you get others to back you? Can anyone say Tony Clark?

really too bad. Her first in blue Bell and the previous place near skippback really did a nice job. When she was there and working, I had some fine meals. I guess she just lost focus on what she was trying to do.

Note to self: Run your restaurant from your kitchen, not your blackberry....

Wife and I were there on the last night. The very distracted service makes a lot of sense now. We were disappointed, but honestly, didn't think the place was about to close. Sorry for everybody out a job. That stinks.

Never had a bad meal there. Guessing most of the haters here got schooled by Alison at some point. Soon she'll be back in the game, and they'll be making snarky anonymous comments on the article about her new restaurant. Hey, I guess if it works for you...

Most of the comments are spot on...except dpowell, are you kidding?? How much did she promise you to write that BS? C'mon, now! Every place she's ever touched has gone this route.

    (1) YES - whether Alison absent or not, the food was always excellently prepared, tasting, and presented.

My out-of-town friends visited Allison two last November and predicted it would not last long. One hungry guest left to walk to Little Italy to buy a bag of chips in order to survive the evening. After ordering drinks, the waiter was missing in action and no one else seemed to care either.
