Italian and Mexican cuisine, side by side in Exton

Want pizza and Italian food? Or maybe tacos and Mexican food?

Starr Restaurant alums Justin Weathers and chef Joe Monnich (Dandelion, Parc) of the Lansdale hit Stove & Tap have set up Bella Vista and Al Pastor side by side in Exton's Eagleview Town Center (560 Wellington Square), joining Brickside Grille and Nudy's Cafe.

Both are contemporary bar-restaurants that share not only a liquor license but a kitchen.

At Bella Vista (484-341-8621), the trattoria menu includes apps, pizzas, and pastas priced in the teens, and a few larger plates, including short ribs ($26) and veal Milanese ($27).

At Al Pastor (484-341-8886), tacos are $9 to $15 for an order of three, and the top price on the menu is grilled Iberico pork steak with roasted nopales and poblanos, and chimichurri. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Next door, chef Eric Yost, whose past includes White Dog Cafe, the Gables at Chadds Ford, Wyebrook Farm, and personal-chef services for film director M. Night Shyamalan, is aiming at March 1 for the opening of Suburban Restaurant & Beer Garden, which he says will be farm-focused, with all Pennsylvania beer and spirits and meats sourced from Wyebrook, 20 minutes away.
