A second Red Kings in Chinatown

San Saing didn't go far for his second location, or its name.

San Saing did not go far for his second location of Red Kings, his Chinatown BYOB at 933 Race St.

Or for its name.

Last weekend, Red Kings 2 opened a half-block away, at 1006 Race St. (215-238-1392) - the former Singapore and Golden Pond restaurants.

Unlike Red Kings, whose plain decor is nothing to mention, Red Kings 2 is plusher, with white tablecloths. Its menu is phone book-sized and leans toward Szechuan.

Killer feature, though, is karaoke. Three private rooms upstairs are aimed at small parties.

It's BYOB and opens at 4 p.m. daily.
