New jewelry collection lets you bling out baby

Jess Dempsey, the fashion blogger behind the blog What Would Karl Do, has linked with jeweler Claire Aristides and accessory shop The Dark Horse to create a capsule collection of made-to-order baby jewelry.

Jess Dempsey, the fashion blogger behind the blog What Would Karl Do, has linked with fine jeweler Claire Aristides and accessory shop The Dark Horse to create a capsule collection of made-to-order baby jewelry.

Dempsey, a mother of two, said she was inspired by fine jewelry pieces she acquired as a child. "I received special jewellery (sic) pieces from when I was born and through the years as I grew up," she wrote on her blog, which includes outfit posts, sale promotions and product edits. "Today, they are special treasures that are a part of me and I can't wait to share them with my children."

Approached by The Dark Horse when she was pregnant, Dempsey's initial collaboration with the accessory retailer resulted in her son's first gift—an infant-sized heart bracelet. The jewelry, she said, will serve as a keepsake for parents and their children.

The six piece collection features pieces including a nine-karat yellow gold diamond cross bracelet and a made-to-order, white gold anagram bracelet. Prices for the baby jewelry collection range from $150 to $250.

Dempsey is an Australian fashion blogger and stylist who has been featured in Marie Claire Australia and Elle UK among others. The entire collection is available now at The Dark Horse.
