Billboard Music Awards best-dressed

The sheer, cutout trend reigned supreme at the Billboard Music Awards but there were other, more covered looks that managed to steal the show, too.

Pa. native Taylor Swift won big at Sunday night's Billboard Music Awards after scoring eight awards rounding out her total to a record breaking 20 awards. The superstar also won on the red carpet, but this time she wasn't alone at the top. The sheer, cutout trend still reigned supreme but there were other, more covered looks that managed to steal the show, too.

The aforementioned Swift took the skin-baring trend in a different direction on the Billboard Music Awards red carpet wearing a white, beaded Balmain pants one-piece. She kept on trend with the wide-leg, shoe covering pants style and accessorized with an appropriate "BAD BLOOD" clutch, to match her new single and music video.

Best-dressed list favorite Jennifer Lopez may, at times, give us only one note on the red carpet, but the note is still sweet. The Queen of Cutouts showed skin in a different way, harking back to her Met Gala look with a sheer, beaded Charbel Zoe gown. The white embellishments parted to expose the 45-year-old singer's washboard abs.

Iggy Azalea may catch a lot of heat for her lyrics (or lack, thereof) and strange southern accent, but the "Fancy" "rapper" owned her light blue two-piece Sunday night. Her pink satin pumps matched the tips of her hair, dyed an in vogue pastel pink.

Zendaya continues to pave her way to be one of the up-and-coming fashion icons. The actress, dancer and singer who got her start on Disney Channel took a huge risk in a full patterned three-piece Fausto Puglisi ensemble. The fashionista complimented the white, black and orange look with baby blue pumps and earrings.

In a fitted, emerald green gown with a high slit, Meghan Trainor was "all about that bass," on the red carpet Sunday night. Trainor's side-parted wavy blonde locks gave the long sleeve Badgley Mischka dress a retro, Old Hollywood look.

Another artist working the risqué sheer, cutout trend was violinst Lindsey Stirling. Stirling opted for a more conservative version of the look, in a sparkly, black sleeveless gown and matching sparkling accessories.

Canadian songstress Celine Dion stunned in a forest-green leather, one shoulder dress. The knee length number had a hip-high slit, adding sex appeal to the singer's appearance ahead of her upcoming Las Vegas residency.

Former Miss USA and Joe Jonas' current girlfriend, Olivia Culpo looked adorable in a beaded black shorts romper by Elie Saab. The jumpsuit exposed slivers of sheer paneling throughout, and Culpo paired it with a thin, leather belt, dangling silver earrings and strappy, jeweled heels.

Chrissy Teigen's red carpet look may not have made the best-dressed cut, but while hosting the Billboard Music Awards, Teigen stunned in a black and white Balmain mini dress with matching cape overlay. Other celebrities like Kim Kardashian have worn the dress, but Teigen still managed to stand out wearing it onstage with a cute side braid and strappy black pumps.

Television personality Renée Bargh stood out among the sea of dresses in a tailored, navy blue Bianca Spender suit and nude pumps. With her hair slicked back and minimal jewelry, Bargh looked modern and unique.
