Spring into two local boutiques

Looking for some Spring accessories, clothes and gifts? I decided to hit-up Rittenhouse Square for some pretty pieces at Tselaine and Aoki Boutique.

What's one way to spend a rainy day in the city?

Head over to Rittenhouse Square and peruse Tselaine and Aoki. The two boutiques are currently transitioning into spring with new merchandise and sales on winter items, so now is the best time to stop by these local shops.

Tselaine, the perfect gift and accessories shop, focuses on local and independent designers. The store is now carrying glazed, ceramic jewelry handcrafted by Dandy. By Boe jewelry is another simple and chic jewelry line, known for its "threader" style earrings handcrafted in gold, sterling silver and mixed mediums from around the world. I am a big fan of the store's selection of Big Buddha bags, Melie Bianco totes and clutches, and Echo Design's line of chic laptop and iPad covers.

While plunging through the vast quantity of merchandise, I picked up one of my favorite scents from TOKYOMILK by Margot Elena. I plan to return for the trés chic gemstone necklaces and bracelets by La Vie Parisienne.  Tselaine also carries cute and quirky greeting cards, wallets, scarves, and other random gifts. The owner's selection of home decor also includes adorable Easter egg bath soaps for the upcoming holiday.

Located around the corner is contemporary womenswear shop, Aoki Boutique, on 115 S. 22nd Street.

Owner Alina Alter stocks her turquoise-colored shop with labels like Friends + Lovers, Funktional and Fraiche by J.  With recent shipments from Ellelauri, these new arrivals are on point with spring trends: Floral frocks, "fabric" blocking dresses, tribal, geometric tops, and blazers from Lazy Twins.  Aoki carries sweet scented candles from Archipelago, stationary and accessories by Papaya, and various books by Nora Ephron and Karen Weekes. The shop also stocks beautiful scarves by LEIGH and LUCA, hand-made on Mongolian looms, hang throughout the store in edgy pops of pinks, blues and oranges.

Stop into Aoki this week and enter you name for the chance to win a $50 store credit. The winner will be announced on the shop's Facebook page on March 31.
