Temple Women’s Soccer Coach David Jones Announces Resignation

PHILADELPHIA –Temple University women's soccer coach David Jones has announced his resignation after guiding the program for the past eight seasons.

Just the third head coach in Temple women's soccer history, Jones began his tenure with the program early in the 2003 season. In his final two seasons he led the Owls to seven and six wins, respectively, marking the program's most victories in consecutive seasons since 2001 and 2002. He compiled an overall record of 38-95-14.

Jones mentored four all-conference honorees during his time with the Owls, including two-time All-Atlantic 10 selection Niki Conn, a junior forward on the 2010 squad.

Temple finished the 2010 season with a 6-12-1 record, 1-6-1 in Atlantic 10 Conference play.
