Softball Splits Doubleheader to Open Spartan Classic

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Drexel softball team returned to the diamond on Friday after a 12-day layoff, taking part in the Spartan Classic at UNC-Greensboro. In the first day of the tournament, the Dragons split their two games, getting their first victory of the season in the opener as they drubbed Rider, 7-0, then falling to Utah in a rain-shortened nightcap, 8-2.
