Temple Men's Soccer Held Off By Stetson, 1-0

DeLAND, Fla. – Temple finished the match with season-high 15 shots, but was unfortunate in guiding any of them to the back of the net, as it fell to the Stetson Hatters, 1-0, on the final day of the Stetson Soccer Classic. Stetson's Steven Saballos provided all the offense that was needed to determine a victor in this game, when he beat sophomore goalkeeper Bobby Rosato with a shot from 10 yards out in the 34th minute.

Stetson controlled most of the game, outshooting the Owls, 24-15. Rosato limited the Hatters' damage as he came up with a career-high eight saves.

The Hatters committed just three fouls in the contest, to the Owls' 15, which helped the hosts of the weekend tournament maintain possession for most of the game.

The Owls (3-2-0) will pick up action Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. when they return to the Ambler Sports Complex to host Long Island.
