Drexel Women's Varsity Eight Claims the Lela Kerr Cup

Philadelphia - Drexel women's varsity eight captured the Lela Kerr Cup for the second consecutive year at the 45th Annual Kerr Cup Regatta on the Schuylkill River. In addition to the Lela Kerr Cup, the Dragons' women's novice eight and women's varsity four recorded runner-up finishes in the finals, while the women's freshmen four earned third place.

Philadelphia - Drexel women's varsity eight captured the Lela Kerr Cup for the second consecutive year at the 45th Annual Kerr Cup Regatta on the Schuylkill River. In addition to the Lela Kerr Cup, the Dragons' women's novice eight and women's varsity four recorded runner-up finishes in the finals, while the women's freshmen four earned third place.

Drexel's women's varsity eight clocked a first-place time of 6:40.00. The Unnamed Empacher boat featured coxswain Cate Khella, stroke Elizabeth Bratton, Emily Coyle, Kayla Wroblesky, Alexa Antonioli, Julia Jackson, Mallory Sykes, Casondra Clawson and bow Dana Haneman. Villanova crossed the finish line second with a time 6:50.19. Drexel's women's second varsity eight, in the Marlene Buckley boat, placed fourth with a time of 6:44.78.
