Saint Joseph's Adams Picks Up 100th Career Win

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Saint Joseph's softball team topped Ball State, 7-3, Sunday afternoon at the USF UnderArmour Showcase, giving head coach Terri Adams her 100th career win.

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Saint Joseph's softball team topped Ball State, 7-3, Sunday afternoon at the USF UnderArmour Showcase, giving head coach Terri Adams her 100th career win.

Ball State took a 1-0 edge in the top of the first, however the Hawks answered with a run in the bottom of the first to tie the game. Sophomore Dana Parks scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of junior Monica Aguilar.

Sophomore Deanna Stinner's RBI single scored Aguilar in the fourth to put SJU up 2-1, while the Hawks tacked on three runs in the fifth to open a 5-2 edge. Parks scored the first run on a RBI single by junior Bernadette Moran, while senior Laura Cardone scored the second run on a double steal. Moran would come in to score the third run on a RBI single by Monica Aguilar.

Ball State added a pair of runs in the sixth, but the Hawks answered with two in the bottom of the inning to hold on for the 7-3 victory. Freshman Morgan Earling and Brianna Sasala scored on a RBI single by Parks.

The Hawks return to Philadelphia this week, taking on Penn in a doubleheader this Wednesday. STORY AD BEGINS HERE
