Penn going into season healthy

The two-time defending Ivy League champion Penn football team opens preseason camp on Monday healthy on solid ground.

At this last time year, the Penn football was entering the season with an injured senior quarterback in Keiffer Garton, and only redshirt freshman Billy Ragone and Ryan Becker to back him up.

This year, the Quakers will enter camp next week with an all-Ivy League first-teamer in Ragone, and a very capable back-up in Becker.

Penn also comes into the presason season healthy.

The team will be bolstered by the return of running back Lyle Marsh, and all-Ivy second-team selection in '09 who sat out the rest of the season due a compound fracture of his forearm which he suffered during the Quakers' week two loss to Villanova.

Also back after suffering a season-ending injury during the game against Nova is wide receiver Joe Holfer, who went down with an ankle injury. He averaged 15.5 yards per catch in '09.
