Bill Iezzi: Tasha Kai Cools Heels

Tasha Kai, the Philadelphia Independence's energetic forward, took herself out of the soccer game with Sky Blue in the 61st minute Sunday night.

"I've been really tired this past week and I gave everything I've got and I knew my tank was empty," said Kai, who scored the first Philly goal in a 2-1 victory.

"I knew I didn't have anything left and I didn't want to hurt the team.

"Our team is very exciting until the last minute."

Lianne Sanderson, a second-half substitute, scored inn the 90th minute to win the gane for Indy.
