Free classes at CrossFit Love Fitness Fair

Tuesday, March 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., The Market & Shops at Comcast Center is hosting a free fitness fair to help you get in shape for the warmer weather.

Tuesday, March 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., The Market & Shops at Comcast Center is hosting a free fitness fair to help you get in shape for the warmer weather.

Open to all fitness levels, the fair will include two workout classes at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. led by Joe Petrusky, head coach and owner of CrossFit Love, a garage gym in Northern Liberties. In between the classes, Petrusky's team of coaches will split into stations to offer advice and drills for mobility, gymnastics, Olympic lifting and nutrition.

"There's going to be something for everyone. We have some of the best coaches in the city and have coached athletes of all levels, from serious competitors to former collegiate athletes to the complete novice," said Joe Petrusky, owner of CrossFit Love. "We make it fun for everyone and this event will have expert advice for serious crossfitters, tutorials for anyone new to the sport and the workout of the day is guaranteed to make you sweat --no matter what your athletic background."

He added, "If you're new to CrossFit Love, come in with an open mind and leave your ego at the door! There will be lots to learn but we start building technique and we slowly build intensity and volume. Be ready to work hard, learn and sweat!"

According to Katie Boova, marketing coordinator for The Market & Shops at the Comcast Center, the venue has a great open space surrounded by food vendors and retailers, which is perfect for an after-work-out snack or shopping session. She said, "We have had much success with our winter #BootyBootCamp program which is every Saturday, and this CrossFit event is our first one during the evening hours. We're excited to tap into a new audience and offer them some inspiration for their work-outs just in time for beach season!"

Besides a good sweat fest, you will get to enjoy giveaways and prizes from HellaLife, Unbroken Designs, Fleo Shorts and a tasty snack of free juice, smoothies and paleo treats.
