Wroten hasn't been the same since his return

DETROIT – There have been questions surrounding Tony Wroten's struggles in three of the last four games.  Some have suggested that the 76ers backup point guard is just in a slump. But perhaps his struggles are associated with the sprained right ankle he suffered on Jan. 18 at the Chicago Bulls.

Wroten only missed three games due to the injury. It's obvious that he's not at 100 percent.

But …

"It's part of the game, man," said the 20-year-old second-year veteran, who won't use his injury as an excuse. "You go through things like this. It's a long season. So I'm getting back into the groove."

However, Wroten missed 12 of 13 shot attempts in Friday's 125-99 loss to the Atlanta Hawks at the Wells Fargo Center.  He averaged seven points while shooting a combined 8-for-33 (24 percent) and missing all nine of his three-point attempts in his four games back. Wroten's best performance during the stretch was eight points on 3-for-6 shooting in Wednesday's 95-94 road victory over the Boston Celtics.

He was averaging 13.3 points prior to the injury.

"It's a part of the game," Wroten said of his shots not falling. "You got to keep working. It's going to fall."
