Sixers' Joel Embiid selected for Skills Challenge

SAN ANTONIO – 76ers center Joel Embiid has been selected to participate in the Skills Challenge at the NBA All-Star Weekend. The event will be held on Feb. 18 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

He becomes the third Sixer to be selected for the event, joining Jrue Holiday (2013) and Michael Carter-Williams (2015).

Embiid will be one of eight participants.

In the challenge, two players compete simultaneously on a course. The person who finishes first will advance to the next round.
