Furkan Korkmaz scores 10 of his 12 points in fourth quarter of loss to Spurs

LAS VEGAS – Furkan Korkmaz salvaged what would have been an underwhelming performance.

The 76ers swingman scored 10 of his 12 points in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 101-95 NBA Summer League setback to the San Antonio Spurs at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Korkmaz made just 1 of 6 shots and missed all three of his three-point attempts through three quarters.  During that time, the 6-foot-7, 192-pounder wasn't very active on the offensive end. However, he went on to make 4 of 7 shots in the fourth quarter as the Sixers made a conscious effort to get him more involved.  Seven of his points came in the final 56 seconds.

For the game,  Korkmaz  shot 5-for-13 - including 2 of 7 on threes. He finished with four rebounds, one assist and one turnover in 28 minutes, 14 seconds.

Reserve guard Aaron Harrison paced the Sixers with 14 points on 4-for-8 shooting.  Power forward Alex Poythress and reserve power forward Isaiah Miles added 10 points apiece.

Guard Bryn Forbes made 9 of 17 three-pointers en route to finishing with 35 points for the Spurs (1-1).

The Sixers (1-1) were without Markelle Fultz (left ankle sprain) and Timothe  Luwawu-Cabarrot (upper lip laceration).

Sixers players Richaun Holmes, Ben Simmons and Jahlil Okafor attended the game.
