Sixers' Embiid has a meniscus tear

It turns out that Joel Embiid also has a minor tear in the meniscus of his left knee.

The 76ers said the center was dealing with a bone bruise in the knee. However, the tear was revealed during an MRI following the game against the Portland Trail Blazers. That's the same night that he suffered the bone bruise.

"But it was not thought to be the source of pain, inflammation or symptoms," Sixers president Bryan Colangelo said about his the tear. "So that is the case."

The Sixers did not give a timetable for his return.
