Reports: Sixers to work out D-Leaguers

It appears to be audition time for the 76ers.

The team will reportedly bring in NBA Development League players James Nunnally, Kevin Murphy, Scott Suggs and Darius Johnson-Odom in for workouts on Tuesday. The team could sign one of the players to a 10-day contract.

Monday is the final day of center Jarvis Varnado's 10-day contract with the team. The Sixers will have an open roster spot if they don't resign him or release another player.

Murphy is a 6-foot-6 shooting guard for Idaho Stampede.  Back in 2012, he was the 47th overall pick by the Utah Jazz.  He was traded to the Golden State Warriors on July 10, 2013 and released 14 days later.

After a stint in France, Murphy was acquired by the Stampede on Jan. 4.

Johnson-Odom plays for the Springfield Armor of the D-League.  The Dallas Mavericks drafted the 6-foot-2 shooting guard with the 55th overall pick in the 2012 draft. He was immediately traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers waived him on Jan. 7, 2013.

He played professionally in Russia and China before signing with the Armor on Jan. 3.

Nunnally is a 6-7 small forward for the Texas Legends.  He had a 10-day contract with the Atlanta Hawks earlier this season.

Suggs is a 6-6 guard for the Erie Bayhawks.  He played for the Milwaukee Bucks for the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas in July, 2013.
