Report: Dario Saric says he's joining 76ers this season

It looks like Dario Saric is finally ready to leave Turkey and join the 76ers. As in, really soon.

Dario Saric was quoted by a publication in Croatia on Wednesday as saying he was finally ready to join the 76ers, but Sixers officials will wait to celebrate the arrival of the 2014 draft pick from Turkey until he actually arrives.

Saric, in Croatia for an Olympic qualifying tournament, was quoted as saying, "Everything is leaning in that direction. I'm waiting for this tournament to end so that I can sit down and work out a deal then head over to the USA and sign."

Saric would likely benefit financially if he played one more season with Anadolu Efes of the Turkish Basketball League because of future changes in the NBA salary cap. But he would get playing time next season with the Sixers that might not be available if he waits another year.

Saric's deadline to notify Efes of his choice is July 17, and leaving the team would require a buyout of which the Sixers could pay only up to $650,000.
