Noel, Okafor selected to Rising Stars Challenge

No surprise here.

76ers power forward Nerlens Noel and center Jahlil Okafor were selected to participate in the Rising Stars Challenge at the NBA All-Stars weekend in Toronto

This marks the third time the franchise had multiple representatives participating in the game featuring first- and second-year players. Like last season, there will be a team of 10 players from the United States competing against a team consisting of 10 players from other countries.

The matchup  will take place at Air Canada Centre at 9 p.m. on Feb. 12.

Noel also participated in last season's challenge. The 6-foot-11, 223-pounder is averaging 10.5 points, a team-leading 8.3 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.6 steals.  Meanwhile, Okafor, a 6-11, 265-pounder rookie, is averaging a team-best 17.4 points to go with 7.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks.
