Best and Worst awards: Sixers vs. Knicks

NEW YORK – Here is my look at some of the best and worst performances from the New York Knicks' 99-87 victory over the 76ers Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden:

Best performance: This was an easy one. Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds to record his ninth double-double of the season. The 7-foot-3  power forward made both of his three-point attempts and had a game-high four blocked shots to go with two assists.

Worst performance: This has to go to Sasha Vujacic. The Knicks reserve missed all four of his shot attempts en route to being held scoreless.

Best defensive performance: This also goes to Porzingis. In addition to blocking four shots, nine of his rebounds came on the defensive end.

Best performance in a losing effort: Hollis Thompson wins this award.  The Sixers reserve finished with a team-high of 13 points to go with four rebounds and a blocked shot.  He also made a game-high three three-pointers in five attempts.

Worst statistic: You have to give this to the Sixers' foul shooting. They made just 14 of 24 free throws (58.3 percent).

Best statistic: This award goes to the Knicks points in the paint. They scored 52 points of their 99 points in the paint.
