Best and Worst awards: Pacers vs. Sixers

This is my look at some of the best and worst performances from the Indiana Pacers 112-85 victory over the 76ers Wednesday night at Wells Fargo Center.

Best performance:  This goes to Pacers forward Paul George. He finished with a game-high 34 points on 13 of 24 shooting including going 5-for-10 on three-pointers. Twenty-one of his points came in the third quarter.

Worst performance:  I had to give this to Nerlens Noel.  The Sixers power forward shot 1-for-3 from the field to finish with two points. He had three rebounds and two turnovers.  This marked the first game that Noel failed to get a block, a steal or an assist on the same night.

Best defensive performance:  George wins this award after finishing with a game-high four steals. He had a team-high eight rebounds with seven coming on the defensive end.

Best performance in a losing effort:  Point guard T.J. McConnell gets this award after finishing with a career-high 16 points, six rebounds and three assists. The rookie veteran shot 7-for-9 from the field, including going 2 of 3 on threes. He did commit five turnovers. But I'm not going to hold that against him.

Worst statistic: This award goes to the Sixers committing 31 turnovers, with 18 coming in the first half. The Pacers scored 37 points on the 31 turnovers.

Best statistic: I'm giving this to McConnell's 7 of 9 shooting.

Worst of the Worst:  This award goes to the Sixers having six players on the court at the same. They received a technical foul when Jahlil Okafor ran straight on to the court instead of checking in at the scorer's table.
