76ers-Hornets Best Worst: Embiid, Walker and Hornets' horrid shooting

Here is a look at some of the best and worst performances from the 76ers' 102-93 victory over the Charlotte Hornets Friday night at Wells Fargo Center:

Best performance: I had to give this award to Joel 'Mr. #NBAVote' Embiid. The Sixers center finished with a game-high 24 points on 6-for-12 shooting. Embiid was clutch from the foul line, making 12 of 14 free throws. He also finished with eight rebounds, three blocks, two steals, one assist and five turnovers (I'm overlooking them)  in 28 minutes, 3 seconds of action.

Worst performance: How can I not give this to Kemba Walker? The Hornets standout point guard struggled mightily against the Sixers. He needed 23 shots (making just seven)  to score 17 points. He was horrible in the first half, where he shot 2-for-13. This was a game he probably wants to soon forget.

Best defensive performance:  Nerlens Noel gets this award. The Sixers reserve center had a game-high four blocks to go with one steal. The 6-foot-11, 232-pounder altered several more shots.

Best performance in a losing effort: Nic Batum made this an easy one even though Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Cody Zeller posted double-doubles. The Hornets shooting guard finished with a team-high 19 points on 7-for-14.  He's the only Charlotte player to shoot at least 50 percent.

Worst statistic: You have to give this to the Sixers' 23 turnovers. The Hornets scored 22 points off of those giveaways.

Best statistic:  This goes to the Hornets' free-throw shooting. They made 31 of 32 for 96.2 percent.

Worst of the worst: I have to give this to Charlotte's shooting. The Hornets had a rough night putting the ball in the basket. They missed layups, mid-range jumpers and three-point shots.  As a result, they shot a horrid 32.9 percent from the field.
