Report: After failed physical with Phillies, Wandy Rodriguez signs with Braves
Wandy Rodriguez, who the Phillies were reportedly set to sign to a minor league deal, reportedly signed with the Braves after failing his physical.
The Phillies were reportedly set to sign Wandy Rodriguez to a minor league contract, but after the veteran lefthander failed his physical, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Rodriguez inked a similar deal with the Atlanta Braves.
Rodriguez, who turns 36 later this month, has pitched 10 seasons in the majors, the last three with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He made just six starts last season and only 30 over the last three seasons because of injury.
Rodriguez had recently been pitching in the Dominican Winter League.
