Former catcher Pat Borders, hired to manage single-A Williamsport, is among the few changes to the Phillies' development staff for 2015.

Both Dave Brundage and Dusty Wathan will return to their posts as managers of triple-A Lehigh Valley and double-A Reading, respectively. Greg Legg and Shawn Williams were promoted; Legg to single-A Clearwater and Williams to single-A Lakewood.

All five minor-league coordinators — Doug Mansolino (field), Andy Tracy (hitting), Chris Truby (infield), Andy Abad (outfield/baserunning) and Ernie Whitt (catching) — will retain their roles from a season ago. Rafael Chaves replaced Carlos Arroyo as the pitching coordinator.

The most changes occurred in Clearwater, which will have an entire new staff in 2015. The Threshers were 49-89 under Nelson Prada, who was reassigned to Lakewood as a coach under Williams.

Brian Sweeney, a former big-league pitcher, was added as pitching coach for the Gulf Coast League Phillies.

The Phillies' minor-league system posted the worst winning percentage (.439) among all organizations last season.
