Game 31: Rollins to miss second straight start

Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said that Jimmy Rollins needed another day off to rest his groin that he tweaked in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Washington Nationals.

"Jimmy still has some sensation in his upper leg area so he needs another day," Sandberg said before the game.

Rollins was used as a pinch hitter on Monday and popped up in the ninth inning. Sandberg said he anticipates Rollins could pinch hit tonight.

Rollins is day-to-day, according to Sandberg.

For the second straight game Freddy Galvis will start at shortstop in tonight's game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Citizens Bank Park, but he will bat seventh. Galvis, who is batting .056, batted second in Monday's 3-0 loss to the Blue Jays.

Catcher Carlos Ruiz will hit second for the Phillies.

Cole Hamels (0-2, 6.75) will face the Blue Jays RHP Drew Hutchinson (1-2, 3.82).
