Rinaldo anxious to return to the Flyers lineup

Flyers forward Zac Rinaldo is looking to make the most of his return to the lineup.

With Scott Laughton out with an upper body injury suffered during Wednesday's 1-0 loss in Washington, Rinaldo will play on a line with Sean Couturier and Matt Read in tonight's game at the Wells Fargo Center against the Vancouver Canucks.

Rinaldo has been a healthy scratch in 11 of the past 12 games and has not played in the previous five games.

"I will bring it probably harder than I ever brought it this year," Rinaldo said before tonight's game. "I have something to prove because I was a healthy scratch for so many games."

Flyers coach Craig Berube expects Rinaldo to play under control, despite being so anxious to return. Even with all the missed time, Rinaldo leads the Flyers with 44 penalty minutes.

"He has been a lot better this year at not taking the penalties," Berube said. "We want him to be physical."

Then Berube cautioned: "It's a fine line with him. He has to walk the fine line."

Rinaldo says it has been difficult to be sitting but his passion for the game, helped get him through the tough times.

"It doesn't matter what scenario I am in, I love coming to rink and working hard and practicing," he said. "And you have to stay positive and have a positive mindset."
