Mason tries to rebound vs. Hurricanes; Voracek in Flyers' lineup

Goalie Steve Mason, who has a 4.55 GAA in his last four starts, will get the nod Wednesday in a 6 p.m. game against visiting Carolina.

Coach Craig Berube said he isn't concerned about Mason's first slump with the Flyers.

"Not really. I think he's fine," Berube said. "I put a lot of it on our team…At times we haven't played well defensively. We want to tighten it up a little bit."

Winger Jake Voracek, who injured his left hand in Monday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders, will be in Wednesday's lineup, Berube said.

On Thursday, the Flyers will travel to Columbus and may face former teammate Sergei Bobrovsky for the first time. Berube did not rule out Mason starting in that game, saying he would make his decision after Wednesday's contest.

Columbus has won seven in a row, a franchise record.

Bobrovsky (16--11-2, 2.55 GAA, .915 save percentage) has an eight-game winning streak.
