Flyers' Rinaldo sidelined 6 weeks
Zac Rinaldo not only scored his first goal of the season in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Montreal, but the feisty winger suffered a left high-ankle sprain and will miss about six weeks, the club announced Thursday.
Rinaldo, who has been getting time on the penalty kill lately, notched the first game-winning goal of his career Wednesday, and after the game he joked with reporters and seemed fine.
GM Paul Holmgren said the injury did not occur during Rinaldo's second-period fight with Montreal's Brandon Prust.
The Flyers, who are also without winger Matt Read (concussion), said they would call up a player from the Phantoms, probably on Friday.
