Five things you should know about the 6-6-1 Flyers today

Five things to know about the 6-6-1 Flyers, who host Detroit (again) on Tuesday:

1. After goalie Michal Neuvirth's third-period stumble in Montreal on Saturday, look for Steve Mason to get a chance to string together some good performances. All told, Neuvirth allowed five goals on 17 shots in Saturday's 5-4 loss.

2. The Flyers have allowed 3.69 goals per game, placing them 29th out of 30 teams. Only Arizona (3.82) has been worse.

3. By going 2 for 5 on their power play Saturday, the Flyers' PP is third in the NHL, clicking at 27.4 percent.

4. With 14 points, Claude Giroux is tied for fourth in the NHL and is one point behind the leaders. Giroux is tied for the league lead in assists (11), and Wayne Simmonds is tied for the top spot in power-play goals (four).

5. Aside from a late penalty that crippled the Flyers' latest comeback, defenseman Michael Del Zotto played well in his season debut Saturday. He has an assist, recorded seven hits, and looked sharp after a long layoff _ the final 28 games last season, and the first 12 this year.
