Five things to know today about the Flyers (26-20-7) as they host the St. Louis Blues (25-22-5) on Monday night:

  1. St. Louis will be without left winger Robby Fabbri, who suffered a season-ending knee injury Saturday. Fabbri is sixth on the Blues with 29 points.

  2. This is a matchup of two of the NHL's worst defensive teams. The Flyers are 25th in the 30-team league, allowing 2.98 goals per game. St. Louis is 26th,, surrendering 3.10 goals per game.

  3. Flyers right winger Wayne Simmonds, who leads the Flyers with 21 goals, does not have a point in the three games since he was named the all-star MVP.

  4. Vladimir Tarasenko tops St. Louis in goals (23) and points (50). The Blues, who scored a 6-3 home win over the Flyers on Dec, 28, are starting a five-game road trip tonight.

  5. Both teams have solid power plays: St. Louis is sixth in the league (22.1 percent), while the Flyers are ninth (21.4 percent). St. Louis also has a top-10 penalty kill (ninth at 83.5 percent). The Flyers' PK is tied for 18th at 81 percent.
