Emery facing Kings; McGinn in for Downie

Ray Emery will be in the net Monday when the Flyers host the Los Angeles Kings.

Flyers coach Craig Berube said he wanted to keep Emery sharp and give the surging Steve Mason a rest. Mason, who had a 2-0 win over the Kings earlier this season, has a 1.50 GAA and .948 save percentage in his last four games.

The Flyers have won a season-high five straight, and they have a one-point lead over the third-place Rangers in the Metropolitan Division. The Flyers play the Rangers in New York on Wednesday.

Winger Steve Downie (upper-body injury) will not play Monday, Berube said, adding he is undecided about whether he will put Tye McGinn or Zac Rinaldo on Downie's third-line spot or on the fourth line.

McGinn was recalled from the Phantoms on Sunday; he had 20 goals for the AHL team this season.

Berube said he was leaning toward keeping Michael Raffl at center on the fourth line.

After Downie was injured early in Saturday's 4-1 win over St. Louis, Raffl and Rinaldo saw action on the third line at wing.
