Reports: Chase Daniel signing with Saints

Chase Daniel, the highly paid backup quarterback released by the Eagles two weeks ago, has reportedly found a new home: New Orleans.

The Eagles released Daniel on March 13 -- the same day they re-signed Nick Foles -- a year after signing Daniel to a three-year, $21 million contract. At that point, he had made only two career starts and thrown only 78 passes in seven seasons.

The Saints have Drew Brees ensconced at quarterback. The 38-year-old veteran has started for New Orleans since 2006 and will be going into his 17th NFL season.
