NFL draft 2017 day 3 recap: Eagles make their final picks

Live updates from the third day of the 2017 NFL draft in Philadelphia.

We're wrapping up our coverage of the 2017 NFL draft in Philadelphia. The three-day event concluded Saturday with rounds four through seven and yet another day of big crowds on the Ben Franklin Parkway.

Here are six key takeaways from day three of the draft:

  1. With their first pick of the day, the Eagles chose Mack Hollins, a wide receiver from North Carolina, in the fourth round.

  2. Also in the fourth round, the Eagles traded up to draft San Diego State RB Donnel Pumphrey as their second fourth-round pick.

  3. In the fifth round, the Eagles drafted West Virginia wide receiver Shelton Gibson and Nebraska safety Nathan Gerry, saying he would be a linebacker.

  4. The Eagles chose Washington DT Elijah Qualls in the sixth round, in their final pick of the draft.

  5. Local players drafted today include Bucknell's Julién Davenport to Houston, Kutztown's Jordan Morgan to Chicago and Temple's Nate Hairston to Indianapolis.

  6. No decision has been made on where next year's draft will be held, but a top NFL executive said Philadelphia "has been a fantastic host and in our eyes, the bar has been raised for what the draft is and can be."
