Eagles receive extra 4th-round pick as part of Carson Wentz trade

The Eagles now have an extra fourth-round pick in this year's NFL draft.

The Eagles now have an extra fourth-round pick in this year's NFL draft.

As part of the trade for the No. 2 overall pick to land Carson Wentz last season, the Eagles received a fifth-round pick from the Cleveland Browns that would become a fourth-round compensatory pick if the Browns received one.

Considering the Browns lost six free agents last season and only signed one, they were expected to receive compensatory picks.

Those picks were announced Friday, and the Browns received two in the fourth round: Nos. 139 and 142. The Eagles will receive the 139th pick, according to a league source.

The Eagles now have the Vikings' first-round pick, their original pick in rounds 2-5, and an extra fourth-rounder from the Browns.
