Chip Kelly visited Victor Cruz in Philadelphia hospital

The Eagles and the Giants may have a heated rivalry on the field, but it didn't stop Eagles head coach Chip Kelly from showcasing some class toward one of their players off the field.

That's because Kelly visited injured Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz in a Philadelphia hospital Monday, according to 247Sports.com.

During the Eagles' 27-0 victory over the Giants the night before, Cruz suffered a torn patellar tendon in his knee while attempting to catch a pass in the end zone.

The pass fell incomplete and Cruz crashed onto the Lincoln Financial Field turf in obvious pain.

As he writhed in pain on the ground, members of the Eagles defense circled around Cruz, went down to one knee and said a prayer in a sign of respect to their fallen comrade.

Cruz spent the night in Philadelphia where he learned that the injury would end his season.
