The city and the School District have worked hard to trim the budget during difficult times. Unfortunately, they’ve had to cut critical programs that keep kids in school and off the streets. Community centers are at the heart of our city’s neighborhoods, and they provide an alternative neighborhood gathering place for young people and families after school and on weekends, with educational, recreational and economic improvement programs, like tutoring and homework assistance, college prep classes, neighborhood sports teams, health and nutrition programs, and visual and performing arts classes. ARAMARK has been working with the Federation of Neighborhood Centers for several years and we know first-hand the important work that community centers do to support young people and their families so parents can work and families can succeed. They are here to help. Bev Dribin
