Brian Dawkins is against rewarding the Cowboys for their mediocrity

Since 1997, the Dallas Cowboys have a perfectly average regular season record of 136-136.

In 2011, they finished 8-8, and lost an "NFC East Championship Game" to the Giants.

In 2012, they finished 8-8, and lost an "NFC East Championship Game" to the Redskins

In 2013, they finished 8-8, and lost an "NFC East Championship Game" to the Eagles.

They're almost like the Buffalo Bills of the early 1990's, except instead of losing Super Bowls every year, they're losing games that would give them the right to get smoked in the first round of the playoffs.

In other words the Cowboys are...

MEE-DEE-OHH-KER!!!  Clap! Clap! ClapClapClap!!!

If you can't make the playoffs, expand them! That's what Cowboys owner/GM/franchise hindrance Jerry Jones wants, via Tim MacMahon of ESPN:

"From the standpoint of looking at how exciting it is for a city or a community to be involved in the playoffs and the fact that you can have a team that might have literally operated at .500 or in that area ... you can have that team win the Super Bowl," Jones said Friday on 105.3 The Fan. "That makes a big case for adding a couple of more cities or communities that have NFL teams to the playoffs.

"It just creates that much more excitement and that much more interest for people in those communities. So I fall on the side of the ledger that would increase the playoffs."

Former Eagles safety/Wolverine/best guy ever Brian Dawkins disagreed with Jones, and said pretty frankly, "He's trying to get his team into the playoffs because they can't get past .500." Here's Dawkins' TV segment on the issue, which ran on ESPN:
