Temple picked 6th in AAC preseason coaches' poll

Fran Dunphy's Temple Owls were picked sixth in the American Athletic Conference's preseason coaches' poll, which was released Wednesday morning at the conference's media day in New York.

Connecticut barely edged out Southern Methodist as the favorite. Huskies guard Ryan Boatright was named preseason player of the year, and Temple guards Will Cummings and Quentin DeCosey were named to the all-conference second team.
