'Nova on 'Big Monday' three times

The Wildcats will visit Louisville and West Virginia and host Connecticut in prime time on ESPN.

'Nova on 'Big Monday' three times

ESPN just announced its schedule of "Big Monday" Big East basketball telecasts for the coming season. Villanova will appear three times. Here's the full schedule, with all games starting at 7:00 p.m.:

January 11: Villanova at Louisville
January 18: Syracuse at Notre Dame
January 25: Georgetown at Syracuse
February 1: Connecticut at Louisville
February 8: Villanova at West Virginia
February 15: Connecticut at Villanova
February 22: West Virginia at Connecticut
March 1: Georgetown at West Virginia

It's stating the obvious, but the people at ESPN and the Big East have a pretty good idea of what they're doing when it comes to picking featured games. I find it notable, though, that neither Villanova-Georgetown game will be on a Monday. Which probably means they'll be weekend games, but I guess we'll find that out soon enough.
