Welcome to the big show

After Texas' Leonel Manzano flew away from the field to lead the Longhorns to victory in the 4xMile, it's time to get the USA vs. the World races underway.

After Texas' Leonel Manzano flew away from the field to lead the Longhorns to victory in the 4xMile, it's time to get the USA vs. the World races underway.

Up first is the women's Sprint Medley Relay: 200 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters and 800 meters.

The lower deck of the end zone is totally full, and I'd say the upper deck is about 1/3 full. Not the biggest Saturday crowd I've ever seen, but still pretty healthy.

The U.S. had the early lead, but Jamaica took over in the 400 meter leg. Now we're headed for the last lap, with Jamaica still in the lead. USA Red is in third.

And Jamaica holds on for the win in 3:37.61. But the crowd wasn't nearly as loud as I thought it would be.

1. Jamaica, 3:37.61 (Nadine Palmer, Aleen Bailey, Sonita Sutherland and Kenia Sinclair)

2. World All Stars, 3:39.16 (Lavern Jones, Sherry Fletcher, Cydonie Mothersill and Mirian Barnett)

3. USA Red, 3:41.08 (Ebonie Floyd, Hasani Roseby, Tiffany Ross-Williams and Hazel Clark)

4. Canada, 3:44.06 (Kimberly Hyacithe, Toyin Olupuna, Amoun Nelson and Aimee Teteris)

5. USA Blue, 3:45.73 (Lauren Smith, Monique Henderson, Meka Rembert-Thompson and Erin Donahue).
